A Google document will be shared with you. Make your own copy, answer questions, create PDF, submit to turnitin.com
Remember, there are a couple of questions on the exam that you have already been given. You will just copy/paste your prepared answer into the exam document.

Part 1 - Negative effects of computer use on the environment
Together we will watch the Frontline video.
With reference to the video, the additional links, and your own research, create a minimum one page Google document that describes, in your own words, the negative effects of computer use on the environment. You may include graphics for additional impact (your report will be longer than one page if you use graphics). Include hyperlinks in your document to all sources (graphics, statistics, etc.).

Found another interesting programming environment on the weekend (via Twitter). I think I'll use this with ICS2O next year, after they have played with Scratch.
This project can take whatever form(s) you wish (written, website, popplet, audio, video, etc.).
You must cover the following:
a) overview of the issue: the facts related to cell phone tracking
b) how this issue relates to personal privacy
c) your personal reaction - is it a good thing? bad thing? somewhere in the middle?
Impact of Computers - Privacy - "My cell phone is tracking me!" In April 2011 it came to the attention of the public that cell phones were keeping a record of the location of the cell phone over time.
